The Annual RRVCC Coin Auction will be held on a weekend in March or early April as can be amicably arranged with Villiard’s Auction Service.

Members of the club may submit lots for auction in groups of 25 items or less at a cost of $1.00 per lot. Lots should have a minimum value of $5.00 and no “choice” lots will be allowed. The target number of lots for the auction is 300. Lot fees will be paid by the club member (seller) the day of the Auction by cash or check payable to the RRVCC and given to the [ Treasurer ].

Lot descriptions must be submitted to the [ Auction Chairperson ] at or before the first regular club meeting in February. Lists created in MS Excel and submitted digitally are required. Lots may not be changed after the draft lot list has been proofed. The [ Auction Chairperson ] will compile a full list of lots to be made available on the Club website and on Villiard’s website.

The auction will be clerked by Villiard’s. Individuals who would like to bid on items at the auction must submit a driver’s license or other form of official identification to receive a bidder number. Payment (full gross amount) for items won in the auction is to be made directly to Villiard’s.

Members who have sold items at the Auction will receive a check written for again the full-gross amount from Villiard’s Auctions 8 to 10 days after the Auction. {A list of the sellers and their respective sales will be given to Villiard’s the day of the Auction. Villiard’s will use this list to make payments.} Absolutely, no netting will occur. The only funds collected by the RRVCC will be the lot fees.
