Youth Activities and Educational Resources

The youth table activity for the 23rd Coin Show of North Dakota (11/21/26) is planned to be Canadian Cent collecting.

  • Kids, if you have started a Canadian Cent collection, bring your folders and keep growing it.

  • If you are new to collecting, the RRVCC will provide a collecting folder and rolls to search.

To encourage youth into the great hobby of coin collecting and to help keep our hobby alive, The RRVCC sponsors a “Youth Table” at both of our annual Coin Shows.

  • The RRVCC provides collecting folders or supplies as well as coins for free of charge to participants 16 yrs. of age or under.

  • Supplies are limited. The youth table closes when supplies are exhausted.

You can help the RRVCC’s efforts. If you have duplicate coins or things you no longer want to hold onto, consider donating them for youth activities. Talk to Ken L. at one of our coin shows or a club meeting.

The youth table activity for the 67th Red river Vally Coin Club Show (Jan. 2027) will focus on World Coins.

  • The RRVCC will provided the activity, coins and any materials needed. Just come and enjoy the hobby.

The US Mint has a nice educational site for young collectors targeting the grade school ages. It is called COIN CLASSROOM. There are games and other “fun to learn” activities as well as lessons intended to reinforce science and math learning as well as home schooling in those topics. Check the resources tab in particular.
